Yew Tree Cottage sits on the edge of a hill with far reaching views across open countryside down towards Hay on Wye. The cottage is built into the hillside, with a history stretching back over 200 years. Inside, a warm, cosy cottage awaits, with an open plan ground floor that is both simple and yet complete. A recent renovation has maintained the beams and trusses that give the cottage its character and unique appeal. The views from the windows are certain to keep you occupied for many hours!
The location is Herefordshire's 'Golden Valley', in which there's excellent hillwalking and riding amid stunning scenery. The Black Mountains and the Beacons National Park are at hand, and Hay-on-Wye, the second hand book centre of the world, is just three miles to the west. Swimming and canoeing on the Wye are excellent, and pony trekking is available from several centres near Hay and in the Llanthony Valley.
