The Badger Sett is a luxurious Lake District holiday cottage comfortably sleeping 6. In a secluded valley, the lovely Lakeland village of Hesket Newmarket, with its famous co-operatively owned pub and micro brewery, The Old Crown, is just a mile-long stroll down a peaceful country lane. The remote Caldbeck Fells are on the doorstep and provide fantastic opportunities for walking and mountain biking. For long distance walkers The Cumbria Way passes through the valley and for road cyclists The Reivers Route (known as the Return CTC) goes right past the bottom of our drive!
The cottage has been extensively but sympathetically modernised throughout. It's all on one level and the enclosed garden makes it ideal for families with small children.
The cottage is surrounded by enclosed mature gardens (relax in the hammock!) and is approached via a gated driveway. There is an outside dining area (with BBQ), parking for up to three cars and a tap for washing muddy bikes and boots.
The accommodation consists of:
Master Bedroom (king size bed, wood-burning stove, sliding doors to patio and garden). Bedroom 2 (king size bed with views across fields).
Bedroom 3 (2 single divans which can be joined together to form a Super King, also with views across fields). Kitchen (bespoke luxury kitchen with dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer). Living/Dining room (large l-shaped room with beautiful views across the valley, sliding doors open on to patio. Bathroom/wc. Shower room/wc.
