Margaret's Cottage
Bruisyard, Framlingham

Says Bryn Frank, publisher of The Good Holiday Cottage Guide, 'the cottages here are a haven of peace and quiet in a tucked away corner of rural Suffolk. We loved the combination of tall, shady trees and manicured gardens, and much admired the Edwardian walled garden.
Effectively one wing of the owners substantial house, Margarets Cottage is a real charmer. People love the light, bright, spacious lemon-coloured main bedroom, the deep terracotta armchairs and the green sofa in the spacious sitting room, the well equipped solid oak kitchen, the wood-stove that guarantees a cosy autumn or winter break. Theres an exceptional shared games room, with the joy of a full size snooker table, and access to a shared open-air heated pool.
Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin. Cost: about £350 to £650. Not suitable for pets; no smokers. Linen and towels included.
