Harvey's Mill is a tastefully converted, thatched 17th century 'post' mill, which ceased to be a working mill around 1920. It is suitable for two people who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. It is in an ideal location for those who wish to explore the Suffolk heritage coast and inland villages. With truly stunning views across open countryside in all directions.

The Mill is situated in a very peaceful location just seven miles inland from the lovely Heritage Coastal Town of Aldeburgh. Snape Maltings, famous for its concerts and cultural centre, Minsmere Bird Sanctuary, Southwold and Walberswick are all within a short drive.

The Mill benefits from being within 1.5 miles of the historic market town of Saxmundham, which provides a full range of shopping facilities including a Waitrose supermarket.

From the entrance hall there is a large bathroom with a free standing double ended bath. The hall opens on to a spacious circular, open plan living area, dining area and fitted kitchen, all fully equipped with the additional benefit of central heating. The mill has freeview TV, DVD, CD and video. A wrought iron spiral staircase leads to a galleried double bedroom and reading area. From here you have uninterrupted views over surrounding farmland.

The mill has its own fully fenced private garden so we are happy to welcome well-behaved pets at no extra charge. It has a pretty cottage border and is ideal for al fresco dining. There is a footpath leading from the main garden straight out across open fields.

On arrival guests will find a welcome pack consisting of fresh fruit, fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, home-made bread, fresh milk, orange juice, home-made biscuits, home-made Harvey’s Mill welcome cake, home-made jam from my own fruit. Guests are welcome to bring their own bikes or, if required, I can provide two good mountain bikes free of charge. Helmets, gloves, locks and high visibility vests are available. All linen, bathroom and kitchen towels are provided.

Harvey's Mill is open all year round - with weekend breaks available upon request.
