Glengorm Castle is almost too good to be true. Seeing it as you approach from Tobermory, four miles away, it is like something out of a fairytale. Mull is one of Scotland's most romantic islands, and the northernmost tip is set off beautifully by this magical castle.
There are six holiday cottages within the grounds or on the estate, plus a flat above the coffee shop and, in the castle itself, one apartment.
The two Sorne Cottages - each sleeping 6, and when taken together sleeping 12 (though npt 'linked') - are about 100 yards from the Estate Farm, reached by a short farm track. They were once part of Glengorm school but now provide guests with a peaceful, rural setting.
Both cottages are furnished very comfortably, and there are open fires. Rabbits and hares are often seen on the cottage lawns, and delightful hill and forest walks are just a few yards from the front door.
Each cottage has: 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms; sitting room with dining area, TV; kitchen: electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave; bathroom: bath with shower; washing machine and tumble dryer in outhouse.
