Well presented self catering holiday accommodation for up to six people. Situated in the heart of the West Country in the beautiful village of Brompton Regis, Somerset on the edge of Exmoor National Park.
Thimble Cottage is a three bedroom cobb stone cottage with a spacious bathroom, two doubles and one queen bedroom, washroom and laundry, open plan living/dining room with hardwood floors and wood burning fire (logs provided) and a large, private, enclosed rear garden with patio. There is wireless internet access and a flat screen TV with an iPod dock and DVD player with a selection of film titles. Parking for 1-2 cars. All linen and towels are provided. Available all year round. Cost: from £500 to £600 per week depending on when you book.
The cottage is 100yds from the village pub, church and local shop. A short walk away is Pulhams Mill Furniture and Craft Centre where you can book an organic Sunday lunch. There are fabulous views from the cottage over the surrounding hills and this is an ideal base for walks around Exmoor, the River Haddeo and Wimbleball Lake with its water-based activities.
A short drive away is the larger village of Dulverton, the southern gateway to Exmoor, with a range of good quality independent shops, award winning restaurants and pubs, tea rooms and attractions. The towns of Dunster, with its castle and beach, and Minehead on the coast, are also close by.
Fast trains are available directly from London Paddington to Taunton with a journey time of 1hr 43mins and the village of Brompton Regis is about a half hour drive from Taunton.
