Slade House Farm is on the edge of the Peak District National Park and offers three luxury holiday cottages. The farm nestles in the village of Ilam and the picturesque valleys of the rivers Manifold and Dovedale, possibly the most peaceful and idyllic location in the Peak District. Bracing walks start from your doorstep.
Slade House has a large farmhouse kitchen with the original stone and wood burning stove. There are two double bedrooms, one of which has a four poster bed and both are en-suite. There are two further spacious twin bedrooms with exposed beams and separate bathroom. The comfortable living room has a living flame fire.
Slade Cottage, sleeping 4, is a converted wing of the farmhouse, with an entrance from the courtyard to a kitchen/diner. This kitchen still has its original range. The large sitting room is on the first floor, with its wood burning stove, red brick chimney and oak beams - all of which mean it is full of character. The master bedroom, which is en-suite, is at ground level and the twin bedded room is set on the first floor. This too is en-suite.
Slade Tops is a split level cottage sleeping two people. It is a barn conversion, a spacious and luxurious property with a sunny living room. There is a new woodburner. The bedroom has a four poster double bed. A lawn enclosed by neat box hedges has comfortable teak garden furniture.
