Ness Street is a luxury 4 storey, Grade II listed holiday cottage set in a secluded courtyard in the heart of Berwick-upon-Tweed's conservation area. The sea and the town's historic Elizabethan walls are at the end of the road. A high quality sandy beach, with exposed rock pools at low tide, is a short walk away. The property sleeps up to 8, but is equally suitable for 2 persons, with price reductions for smaller groups. The interior of the house has been completely renovated and is furnished to a very high standard, featuring two digital TVs, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. Guests have free access to wireless broadband. All local amenities are within easy walking distance - a car is not necessary to enjoy a holiday at Ness Street. Berwick's railway station lies on the East Coast mainline and is within 45 minutes of Edinburgh's main station, ideal for a day trip to Scotland's capital city. Holy Island, or Lindisfarne, lies a few miles down the road, and Bamburgh and Alnwick castles are within easy driving distance. Nature lovers should not miss a boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses, though seals and a rich variety of bird life can be seen in and around the river Tweed, which meets the sea at Berwick. Ness Street is in ideal base from which to explore the Northumberland coast and the Scottish Borders.
