Built in 1850, this cosy and tastefully decorated stone holiday cottage is situated in historical Snainton village at the foot of the North York Moors. It is in a peaceful location and provides an ideal touring base for the area with beaches at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey as well as several forest parks and easy access to historic York. There are numerous walks and cycle rides in the immediate vicinity and a lovely drive through the wooded valley of Troutsdale.
Accommodation
Entrance, small hallway. Cosy sitting room with coal stove, beamed ceiling, rough stone wall and dining facilities. Off the sitting room is a compact kitchen. Traditionally steeper cottage stairs lead to the first floor where there is a spacious bedroom with a king size bed and a single bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and original fireplace. shower room with electric shower (no bath), toilet and washbasin. Bed linen and towels provided free of charge.
Services
Refrigerator, mini electric cooker with two hob plates, grill and oven, microwave. Digital TV and DVD player. Heating by way of the coal stove, mini radiator and an electric wall heater in the bedroom - no extra charges for fuel and electricity. Travel cot provided upon request. Non-smokers only. Sorry, no pets. Parking for one car in front of the cottage or in the pub car park opposite.
