High Mill has unique and unrivalled views of the scenic North Yorkshire Moors Railway and is situated below Pickering Castle.
High Mill House (sleeps up to 12)
Retaining many original Victorian features, but now with high levels of insulation, thermostatically controlled radiators, en-suite facilities and quality mattresses, ensuring 21st century comfort.
For the more energetic there is safe bike storage, a ground floor wet room (shower room), drying and washing facilities. Ideas for local rides and walks (including world renowned Dalby forest trails) can be found in our welcome pack.
The Limes Cottage (sleeps 2)
This cosy bungalow has underfloor heating, a bath with shower over and open plan lounge/diner/kitchen. Twin beds can be joined to make a king. Patio and BBQ area.

The scenic NYMR is one of the country’s finest preservation railways. With views of the railway from all rooms in High Mill House as the train passes and then changes ends, it’s a gem for any train enthusiast. For those with no interest, it’s a five minute interruption; or take advantage of the low season.
Pickering is perfectly situated for Yorkshire’s many attractions, with a wealth of local beauty – spectacular moorland and coast, national parks, resorts, theme parks, historic houses and cities on our doorstep. The town hosts an annual war weekend, traction engine rally, open studios, music festivals, country and agricultural shows.
Whether it’s a fun packed action holiday or a relaxing few days away, High Mill has the homely comfort to suit your group.
