With eight cottages in 400 acres of a private working woodland there is something for everyone at Trallwm Forest Cottages. The location is a beautiful unspoilt Welsh valley and private working woodland where you will find three mountain bike trails, a playtrail, a games room, a landscaped lake and many walking routes.
One of the eight, Kestrel is a semi-detached 18th century converted stone barn in Trallwm woods, beside a mountain stream. Large double-glazed French doors lead into the lounge/diner, where there is a wood-burning stove. The kitchen has all the necessary items for your self-catering holiday. Stairs lead up to a double bedroom, a small twin bedroom and a bathroom with bath, wc, handbasin, heater and heated towel rail. There is a TV and DVD player, and a selection of games and books to enjoy during your stay.
Writes a recent guest: 'The cottage is cosy....not overly luxurious, but it had everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfy and there is plenty of heating for the cold months and a good supply of logs for the wood-burning stove. Everything was clean and linen/towels were fresh. Lying in bed at night gazing at the stars through the skylight was a particular treat!'
We are sorry, but we don't allow pets in this cottage.
Note: Kestrel is a semi-detached property, adjoining Red Kite. The two can be taken together to accommodate a party of up to eight.
