Built in 1839, Jenny’s Cottage is a grade II listed building in a small cobbled courtyard. Much of the original character of the cottage has been retained, while the furniture, most of which is solid elm or applewood, has been specially made for the property.
Blakeney Quay, with panoramic views over the marshes beyond, is about 100 yards from the cottage. The Norfolk Coastal Footpath, which runs from Hunstanton to Cromer passes through the village. Walks to Morston Hall and Cley can be taken directly from the cottage. Blakeney has excellent facilities for walking, sailing and particularly birdwatching – there are several important reserves nearby. The village is in a conservation area and narrow streets of cobblestone cottages run down to the quay.
Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are thirty five miles away. Eight miles along the coast is the town of Sheringham from where the North Norfolk Steam Railways operates to Holt and back, with superb views of the coastline.
Double bedroom plus one single. Duvets, spare blankets, hand towels and tea towels provided. Bed linen and bath towels can be hired. TV and video. Non-smokers only.
