| A cosy, well equipped cottage, sleeping 8, on the beautiful 600-acre, traffic-free island of Carna in the Western Highlands. An ideal location for walking, fishing, watching wildlife (seals, porpoises, eagles, buzzards, otters and red deer are some that live here) or admiring spectacular views.
There is no electricity, cooking is by a bottled gas stove, lighting is by gas or candle, and heating/water by a Parkray Anthracite stove, open fire and closed stove. There is a large gas fridge. A 16ft. boat with outboard engine and lifejackets is provided; caretakers are contactable by radio at any time.
Cost: about £725 to £1050 (for 2012) includes use of motor boat, transfers to and from Carna, linen, all cooking, heating, lighting and water heating fuel.
