This fairy-tale Cotswold hamlet centres around a picturesque church, a Tudor manor house and nine holiday cottages, all set in an equally picturesque valley with 215 acres of woodlands and farmland. The distinctive cottages, which sleep from two to nine guests, at Owlpen lie scattered along the valley, several are listed historic buildings. There are snug medieval barns and byres, a watermill first restored in 1462, a Court House of the 1620’s, weavers and keeper’s cottages and even a traditional modern farmhouse. There are no ‘complexes’ or development. All is exclusive … and very private.

Each cottage has been decorated and furnished in an English style, with the subtle intimacy and feeling of a well-loved home. Traditional and contemporary designs blend with antique furniture, nick nacks, prints and plants, all in co-ordinated interiors.

The Cyder House restaurant lies in the heart of the estate, close to the manor house itself and is available for bookings of 15 or more. This lovely medieval building dominated by a huge oak cider press is an intimate setting for special celebrations. Home-cooked dishes are also available to cottage guests to heat through in their own cottages (all the kitchens are fully equipped).
