The Cider House is a semi-detached Grade II listed property on a working farm. It is situated in Dymock on the Gloucestershire/Herefordshire border. The property has recently been restored and renovated to provide a spacious open-plan living area including sofa bed, a fully fitted kitchen, exposed beams and two floor-to-ceiling windows upstairs . Downstairs there are two bedrooms, one double, one twin (can be made up as a double) and the bathroom, all of which have either cobbled or flagstone flooring. The double bedroom has french windows out onto a patio in the private garden which has a BBQ and garden furniture.
The village has a community-owned pub, post office/shop, pay and play golf course and children’s playground. It is well known for its wild daffodils, poets walks (one of which goes through the farm) and Stinking Bishop cheese, as featured in Wallace and Grommit. There are several local vineyards and Weston’s Cider is also nearby.
Cheltenham, with its racecourse, Regency architecture and shopping, Hereford with its cathedral and the Mappa Mundi, Ledbury, the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean are all within easy reach. If you fancy an evening out why not book tickets for the Malvern Theatre where you can find many shows either on their way to or from the West End. |
