Quietly located in a village setting (Catbrook), approx one mile by road above the River Wye at Tintern - Tintern Abbey is under two miles by road - this is a traditional Welsh whitewashed stone cottage of great character, with a sheltered and charming cottage garden. In a quiet but not isolated location, it is a perfect place for families and walkers - there are great walks from the doorstep. The sheltered and well stocked garden has its own hot tub, and the cottage is pet friendly.
The pretty garden is fenced and gated. There is a terrace with large table , brolly and chairs, a little bistro table in the courtyard, loungers in summer, and of course the hot tub - particularly wonderful as the sun goes down and on starry nights.
Awarded the coveted five stars for facilities and quality by the Wales Tourist Board (now Visit Wales), the owners also hold the "Croeso Cynnes Cymreig ( Warm Welsh Welcome) award .The cottage also holds the Visit Wales awards for facilities for walkers and cyclists.
