Two enchanting self-catering cottages with oak beams and inglenook fireplaces, in a farming hamlet close to the historic village of Abbotsbury where you will find Subtropical Gardens, Swannery, Great Tithe Barn Children's Farm and St. Catherine's Chapel on the hill, as well as many arts, crafts, antique shops and tearooms. Visit the World Heritage Coast and Chesil Beach, or walk the Dorset Coast Path which runs along the hillside just above Elworth hamlet.
The first cottage, Grade 11 listed Farmhouse Cottage, sleeps 2/3 and is annexed to the owners 17th century farmhouse. This fully self-contained thatched cottage has a wealth of nostalgic features. Children from age 12-plus are welcome (our other cottage, Poppy's Cottage, is suitable for younger children).
Farmhouse Cottage boasts modern facilities, including Satellite TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi and wireless internet connection. Full central heating and all linen is included. Enjoy your Organic/Direct from Dorset welcome pack on arrival. Not only are there extensive grounds with gardens, and BBQ & garden furniture, but you can park adjacent to the cottage for convenience.
The second of the two cottages, Poppy's Cottage, sleeps 6 plus cots, and is a spacious, detached cottage, fully equipped to welcome families, especially with small children. There is a full range of child/baby equipment provided including toys & books, and there is small children's outdoor play equipment. As with Farmhouse Cottage, there are all the modern amenities you would expect, with linen and full central heating included. There is parking for 2-3 cars adjacent to this cottage.
