Salcombe, at the southernmost tip of Devon, is on what must be one of the world's most beautiful estuaries. This provides sailing, walking, beaches, fishing, diving, birdwatching and a pleasant climate.
We are very much specialists in Salcombe as 99% of our 180+ properties are in the town, North Sands and South Sands. These range from The Old Rectory, a magnificent early Victorian Rectory in a uniquely beautiful and quiet position beside the Salcombe estuary; this property is undoubtedly the best house along the East Portlemouth shoreline and one of the finest in the South Hams. Tuckers, a Salcombe landmark which for many years was the headquarters of Tuckers Boat Hire, this end of terrace property has a wonderful position on Victoria Quay with exceptional views over the main anchorage to East Portlemouth and beaches.
Waterside is at the end of a creek and the castellated garden wall has a gate giving access to the water and mooring. The garden is beautifully landscaped with a gazebo and wonderful views. The house itself has been totally renovated and sleeps 6 people. All of the rooms have views of the water.
Elworthy Cottage is a charming 17th century, listed, thatched cottage partly hidden in a wooded dell some fifteen minutes, principally level, walk beside the beautiful Batson Creek to Salcombe. The cottage, which accepts pets, has been tastefully refurbished and decorated to provide comfortable accommodation, has ample parking and lawned, secluded gardens.
Salcombe Holiday Homes prides itself on the quality of its staff. In a recent tenants' survey 95% described our staff as 'excellent' or 'above average'. We visit each property ourselves between changeovers and are delighted that approximately 65% of our business is from repeat customers - many with their dogs!
