Bowden nestling peacefully on a south-facing hillside in the
picturesque South Devon countryside. Situated one mile from
the award-winning Blackpool Sands beach and four miles from
the historic royal port of Dartmouth, we are fortunate to
have a wide range of places of interest within easy distance.
Local favourites include Dartmouth Golf Club (where discounted
green fees are available), Woodlands Leisure Park and Slapton
Ley Nature Reserve. Our thirteen cottages
(sleeping from 2-8 people) are sympathetically converted
from 17th century farm buildings. All are equipped to a
high standard with log burning stoves and fitted pine kitchens
(including dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave, fridge/freezer
etc.). You will find direct dial telephone, radio-cassette,
video, Sky television etc. All cottages have their own outdoor
sitting area, many with a secure terrace or small garden.
Barbecues and deckchairs are also available.
The attractively landscaped grounds incorporate many leisure
facilities including heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi,
sauna and solarium, well-equipped gymnasium, floodlit all-weather
tennis court, full-size snooker table, games room (with
table tennis, pool, darts, table football), trampoline,
nature trail, small putting green and boules piste. Guinot
beauty treatments and reflexology are generally available
by appointment.
Our exceptional facilities for families with small children
include two outside playground areas with swings, slides
etc., an Under 5's playroom, and the availability of babysitters,
cots, stairgates, highchairs, booster seats etc.
Cottages can be let Friday - Friday or Saturday - Saturday.
Short breaks are available from late September until June.
Bed linen and towels provided. A colour brochure is available
on request.
