Close to the Lake District and North Pennines, Salutation Yard in Skelton, near Penrith, is a complex of traditional Cumbrian farm buildings, newly developed to provide three secluded holiday lets: West Barn, East Byre and South Byre. Accommodating between four and six guests each, they have been renovated and equipped to a high standard. Ullswater is 10.5 miles and Keswick 16 miles.
VisitBritain has rated them 4 Star; each with a Gold Award, and one has a Mobility Level 2 rating for the ground floor.
The three self catering holiday properties share some features and all have:

West Barn was a threshing barn and is now a two storey holiday home. It accommodates six, where no more than four are adults and at least two are children, in three bedrooms. There is a ground floor shower room and a first floor bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed patio and two parking spaces. Please enquire about bringing a pet.
East Byre previously a cow byre and hayloft is now a two storey holiday home for up to six people. It has three bedrooms, a ground floor shower room and a first floor bathroom in addition to the en-suite shower room. Outside, there is an enclosed patio and two parking spaces. 1/2 guests can book the ground floor only if required to keep costs down for those travelling alone or in pairs. Sorry no pets except assistance dogs.
South Byre was a cow byre and is now a single storey holiday home for four. There are two bedrooms and a shower room. Outside, there is an open patio and one parking space. Bookings accepted for single nights as well as longer stays. Sorry no pets except assistance dogs.
