| Near Patterdale, Elm How (sleeps 10) and Cruck Barn (sleeps 2) lie in the Grisedale valley, and are quiet with no traffic, plenty of parking and ideally placed for access to Helvellyn and surrounding hills. Eagle Cottage, near Glenridding, is a stone-built cottage with wood fire (sleeps 4).
At Helm Farm, near Windermere, are four comfortable apartments sleeping from 2-5. Easy access to Windermere, but in a very quiet location with footpaths from the door. Wood fires in three of the four apartments.
