Butterfield Cottage is so well placed for a self catering holiday for six in the Peak District National Park. It 's in a quiet spot on the edge of Tideswell, a bustling conservation village with a superb range of local shops, pubs and tearooms Stylishly decorated throughout in English country cottage style, with good quality furniture and antiques to create an extremely comfortable and relaxing environment, it has lovely views across the dale and is not overlooked.

The cottage is particularly suited to families and groups getting together, and for those who enjoy walking, culture and outdoor pursuits. Groups of up to 15 can be accommodated if booked together with Bluebell Cottage [link], just six minutes' walk away.

The cosy, beamed sitting room overlooks the front garden and has comfy sofas and a log-burner  set into a Derbyshire stone fireplace. It’s fully centrally heated and has a 32 inch widescreen HD LCD TV with HD FREESAT, DVD/CD player and a range of games and books and DVDs to suit all ages.

The dining, through patio doors. overlooks the sunny walled rear garden area. The kitchen is well equipped, with a washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave, ironing facilities and a larder fridge.

Upstairs the bathroom is bright and airy from the roof skylight. Enjoy an invigorating soothing soak in the bath after a long walk!

Upstairs, the 3 bedrooms are sympathetically decorated, fusing the convenience of modern living whilst retaining the character of the old and emphasising the peaceful and tranquil nature of the cottage. With no street lights on the terrace, peer through the windows to view the stars on a clear night and you may wake to find squirrels playing on the lawn.

There are two double bedrooms and a twin room.

Children are very well catered for, with a high chair, travel cot and a range of soft toys, games and books. There is also a delightful children’s play area just behind the cottage which can be safely reached across a grassy lane with no road to cross.
