Cliff House stands on the A170, giving easy access to Scarborough and the heritage coast to the east and Pickering and Helmsley to the west, with the North York Moors on the doorstep. Within five acres of land there is a walled garden, a pyramid-shaped treehouse, secret wooded gardens, a games room, plus toddlers' play area. A dream holiday for young families!
Beech Cottage is a quirky cottage on three floors, converted from the carriage house and stables of Cliff House. Small private courtyard, entrance to hall, twin bedroom and bathroom. There are four steps down to a fitted kitchen, with dishwasher and dining area. There's an arch through to a lovely lounge with an open fire, flat screen television, Freeview and DVD player. There's a large arched window (formerly barn doors) with views of the village. The first floor has a double bedroom with exposed beams, a single plus a pull-out bed, and separate WC. Full gas central heating.
Above the swimming pool is the games room which has a pool table, table tennis and darts. We will provide bats and balls but please bring your own darts.
Within the walled garden there are plenty of areas for you to be 'private'. There is also a children's play area with swings and slides, a secret pyramid-shaped ancient yew tree tree-house and a sand-pit. There is also a spring-fed pond. Our guests are very welcome to wander in all four acres of the grounds.
Sorry, no dogs.
