Gostelow House, circa 1540, is a Grade II listed building
surrounded by three-quarters of an acre of secure gardens.
There is an outdoor pool, bar, patio area and barbecues
for your use. This family house is of half timbered Tudor
design, and whilst it retains its character with inglenook
fireplaces and low ceilings and beams, it has all the modern
touches you would expect.
The house is situated in the small village of Chalton which
has a post office/general store and a farm selling fresh
free range eggs and meat. There is also a good dining pub
a few steps from the house. The larger village of Toddington
is two miles away and has a historic church, a library,
a number of village shops, and various takeaways. The seven
pubs in Toddington offer a wide range of dining options.
Leagrave, a suburb of Luton, is three miles away with fast
access to London (45 mins) and Bedford (20 mins). Milton
Keynes, 15 miles to the north, offers a wealth of shopping
and entertainment. This is complemented by the town of Luton,
which is seven miles to the south, also offering shopping
and entertainment facilities along with all other amenities.
