In the centre of the charming village of Braithwaite, just two miles from Keswick, on Derwentwater, Barn House is overlooked by an impressive semi-circle of Lakeland fells. The village is overlooked by the Coledale Horseshoe, an impressive semi-circle of fells that is a famous walking route. There is a shop in the village, along with two pubs serving home cooked meals.
Downstairs there is a spacious lounge with original oak beams, an open fire, two comfortable sofas, TV, video and DVD, and french doors opening on to the patio. To the side of the lounge there is a dining area with table and chairs. The large, fully equipped kitchen has a further table and chairs for more informal dining. Leading on from the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and separate wc. Upstairs there are three good size bedrooms – two doubles and a twin.
