As you drive towards our picturesque river valley towards Cressbrook - a quiet and pretty conservation village nestling on the hillside - you'll relax immediately.
Our cosy 18th century Grade II listed cottage has an idyllic setting leading out into National Park country – a myriad of footpaths and bridleways with sheltered valleys, hidden waterfalls and dramatic hills, rich in wildlife.
Our guests say the location is idyllic and so central for exploring The Peak District National Park, with its wealth of castles, caverns, historic houses and outdoor activities. The market towns of Bakewell and Buxton, and Chatsworth House, are just a short drive. A warm welcome is assured at The Cressbrook Pub just across the road.
Badger Cottage has been recently refurbished (new wool carpets throughout and quality sofas). It has a log burner and full central heating, sunny gardens and patio furniture. All the rooms have amazing rural views, and are not overlooked. Wildlife and wildflowers abound and many guests really do spot a badger!
The pretty sitting room with mullioned cast iron latticed window overlooks the garden. It has a 32 inch wide-screen HD LCD TV with freeview, DVD/CD player and there are games and books. The dining kitchen has a table and chairs and is well equipped for your stay with washer/dryer, hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, ironing facilities and a fridge with ice box. The bathroom downstairs has bath with shower over.
